We Want More Of The Big Reunion

The first series of ITV2's The Big Reunion was Pop Kulture's TV highlight of 2013 (apart from Danny Dyer's magnificent start in Eastenders). It served up a heavy dose of nostalgia, reuniting us with all our favourite popstars from back in the day and also taught us that being a popstar in the 90s and 00s was basically a living hell. A particularly grim stand out moment was Keavy from B*Witched discussing how she had a nervous breakdown around the time her twin sister, and lead singer of the band, Edele got married; “I was a ticking time bomb and the bomb exploded.”
The second series fell a bit flat and seemed like ITV2 were rushing to find acts to jump on the success of the first series which spawned a tour, an album and saw several of the bands which took part headline their own tours for the first time in over 10 years. Let's face it, Girl Thing were never really a thing, were they?

However, we can forgive the second series as we feel the format still has some life left in it and are gagging for a third series. So much so, we've taken it upon ourselves to help ITV2 find some acts to take part. No need to thank us.

Members: Alesha Dixon, Sabrina Washington, Su-Elise Nash
Biggest Hits: Scandalous, One Night Stand
Yes, Alesha Dixon is all BFF with Simon Cowell and quite comfortable in her Britain's Got Talent judging chair, thank you very much but she hasn't ruled out a Mis-Teeq reunion and has mentioned she's open to the idea in interviews. We'd also all get a chance to see her do what she does best and why she's famous in the first place as we feel it's something people have forgotten. Altogether now, “YA KNOW YOU WANNA SING WITH US”

Biggest Hits: More Than I Needed To Know, For Sure, Flying The Flag (For You)
They never exactly set the charts alight but they were a good, fun, bubblegum pop band. Pop Kulture met them once at a Disney roadshow and one of the guys told us we had lovely hair so we've always held them in high regard. They also treated us to the campest and most excellent Eurovision entry in years so they more than deserve their place at the Big Reunion table.

Hear'Say

Members: Kym Marsh (replaced by Johnny Shentall), Noel Sullivan, Myleene Klass, Suzanne Shaw, Danny Foster
Biggest Hits: Pure & Simple, Show Me The Way To Your Love
The original Popstars were put together by 'Nasty' Nigel Lythgoe, Nicki Chapman and that other guy whose name no one ever really knew in the days before Simon Cowell took it upon himself to find the nation's next big thing.
Tbh we doubt any of the band would be up for a reunion except Danny Foster who was last seen auditioning for The Voice UK but we think it would do us all good to remember that Myleene Klass was once a popstar before she started touching people with her magic fingers in those Littlewoods ads and making enemies at the school gate.

Members: Calvin Goldspink, Stacey McClean, Frankie Bridge (nee Sandford), Aaron Renfree, Daisy Evans, Rochelle Humes (nee Wiseman), Jay Asforis, Hannah Saville
Biggest Hits: One Step Closer, Sundown
This would be an interesting one because they're not 13 year old kids anymore so there's every chance it could be a total shambles. We would, however, get to see Rochelle & Frankie from The Saturdays being made to sing the truly abysmal, Automatic High.
They'd also need to decide on a name as they went through three name changes during their time as a band. They became S Club 8 after original S Club split up and they started 'growing up' a bit then for some inexplicable reason became I Dream to coincide with their TV series.

Another Level

Members: Dane Bowers, Mark Baron, Stuart Keating, Bobak Kianoush
Biggest Hits: Freak Me, From the Heart
They reportedly signed up for the second series only for one to pull out and ruin the whole thing. To make up for it, Dane Bowers did take part in the second series in the 'supergroup' 5th Story alongside Gareth Gates, Kavana, Kenzie and Adam Rickett but we'd rather not remember their attempt at Freak Me. Bonus points if Myleene Klass teamed up with Dane Bowers to take on Victoria Beckham's vocals in the classic duet Out Of Your Mind.
